Fair!

Molly went to the fair this past week with her friends Grayson, Colbie and Kate.  This year the kids all had their own agendas so we all found ourselves being dragged in different directions by 4 year olds.  We did have a lot of fun though and she even came home with a couple souvenirs (a new word she pulled out of nowhere, special for the fair)
I can't get over how cute this is.  It should be noted that this was not staged by us.  They just wanted to hold hands.  So freaking cute.

She was adamant that she would be riding the bunny.  I guess while she was riding she was telling Jonny "My bunny is galloping!". Later that night, Jonny and I were cracking up because we watched The Hobbit, and what do you know? There were actually galloping bunnies.
I'm leaving out the picture of Jonny in the fun house.  Just like last year, Molly was unable to make it through without him.  Grayson also had some issues and Kate lost her shoes...so it was good he went in.

Too much fun!  She was totally passed out before we got home.  Yay for 6:00 bedtime!
One of Maggie's favorite things is trying on clothes.  The size is usually irrelevant.
Here she is with Jonny's shorts
"I lost 65 lbs on Nutri-System!"
Everyday, Maggie runs into the kitchen where I keep the paint brushes and water cup and screams "PAIN! PAIN! PAIN!" I usually let her, but it's usually a huge mess.  It doesn't help when your sister tags you. I suppose writing "Molly" on her back is relatively kind.  I sure in the future she'll become much more creative.

Birthday First

First things First Molly's 4! Yes, yes, almost a month ago, but I'm kind of slow these days.  Her party was lots of fun and she had a great time whooping it up and bouncing around with her friends.  Thanks to everyone who was able to come!

Notice the hello kitty band-aid on her elbow.  I had to hand out several of those during the party.  I'm pretty sure that means it was a success.
I'm going to be glad when all the candy is gone from my house.

We had a great Easter, with lots of excitement.  Molly informed me in the morning that "we have a lot to do today Mama!" Somehow, we made it through.
I was surprised at how good Maggie was at finding eggs.  She's only 19 months and she found at least 2 eggs all on her own without any adult or 4 year old guidance.
Victorious!

"Melmo!"
I love how before I was a parent, I told myself that I would somehow resist getting my kids "licenced character" toys/clothes. Yeah, that was stupid.  It starts with Elmo, you just LOVE it when they declare with such certainty "Melmo!" but it's a slippery slope straight to Lalaloopsy land.  I will swear to you right now, that I will never have a Bratz or a monster high doll in my house.  They're horrible!  So no one should be tempted to ever buy her one, I will throw it in the trash immediately.

Chwubby Bwunny!
So my mom had bought the girls little matching dresses and I wanted to take a cute picture of them together so we could remember our supper happy Easter.  I tried to get Molly to cooperate but she kept saying she didn't want to take a picture with Maggie because she was jealous.  I guess it was too much that Maggie had 4 whole eggs out of the 20 or so items that were hidden.  So I told her to show me her best "jealous" faces.  Here they are:

Pah-thetic!
You can see that she recovered.  Not enough however to actually take the picture with Maggie.
She had TWO dresses.  Lucky girl with 2 doting grandmothers

Jonny also took her to the country club egg hunt, but Maggie and I stayed home so she could get a nap in before an awesome dinner at Granny's.
